Project Wharekai

After many, many years of stewing, roasting, cups of teas and milos, boil ups, hangi, tangihanga, weddings, birthdays, wananga, teatowel fights, arguments over who is drying, burnt toasts, blunt knifes, debates over dinner menus and lumpy porridge sagas, our kitchen has grown tired and in need of love.
The process has well and truly began to refurbish and modernise our little wharekai to handle a whole lot more lifetimes of the above memories.
Below is a break down of our progress to date, made easy so everyone can feel a part of this exciting development.
Brief Summary:Te Kauri Marae Building Team are working with Opus Architecture to shape this development together with our needs in mind. Opus has a strong background in Marae refurbishments and understood completely our vision. They have compiled together a team of companies to compliment the development who will assist their different specialities.
