Te Tokawhakāea Tēmara, Deputy Chairman
Te Toka has been the Chairman of the Tūhoe Waikaremoana Māori Trust Board for the past 10 years. Also member of the Tūhoe Negotiating Team in the negotiations of Tūhoe's Raupatu and Comprehensive Claims for Tūhoe with the Crown. Born and bred in Ruatāhuna/Maungapōhatu and schooled at St Stephens College. Has held a number of positions in the State Sector and currently GM Mahi Tahi Trust and working with prisons.
Patrick McGarvey

He kanohi kitea i runga i ōku marae. He mātau ki ngā tikanga me te reo ō Tūhoe. I am the Chairman of my hapū Te Whānau Pani and a member of the Western Tūhoe Tribal Executive. I am experienced in governance and education and have in-depth knowledge of the local government sector.

Kai Waikaremoana e noho ana. He kaitiaki mo Te Kotahi a Tūhoe, ka pupuri tonu i te mana o Tūhoe i raro i a Tūhoe Te Mana Motuhake Mai Waikaremoana. He kanohi wera i runga i ngā marae. Tokowhā ngā tamariki, e piri pono ana ki ngā kaupapa o te mātauranga, ngā kaupapa tōrangapu a Tūhoe me ana hapū.

A strong background in te reo māori, māori protocols and customs and a broad range of personal and professional life experiences.
I have 20years experience in the media and television industry as a Reporter/Journalist for Te Karere (TVNZ). I have worked at the Land Transfer Office in Wellington, at Te Kooti Whenua in Whangarei and as a te reo Māori tutor at the Northland Polytechnic. Recently I have worked for the Tūhoe Establishment Trust at Tāneatua leading the Kaumātua Project.
I represent the Waimana/Maungapōhatu division on the Tūhoe Waikaremoana Maori Trust Board following elections in 2009. I am also a board member of the Tūhoe Fisheries Charitable trust following elections in 2010.
The 30years experience as a kapahaka tutor for various Kapahaka Roopu throughout Aotearoa including Te Waimana Kaaku has given me the opportunity to travel the world as a New Zealand Cultural Ambassador.
I am currently the Secretary for Tanatana marae, Waimana and a delegate to the Waimana Tribal Executive Komiti.
Matt Te Pou
MBE, BEM, MNZM
Has a long history in leadership coaching, facilitating and team building. He has spent 23years of his career in the army saw active service in Vietnam. For 3years he served as an instructor at the elite Officer Military College Duntroon in Australia.
His leadership experiences have included Coaching NPC, Super 12 and New Zealand Maori All Blacks. Business consultation and corporate coaching as well as Chairing his Iwi Tūhoe through Waitangi Tribunal Hearings.
Matt was also a Negotiator on behalf of 8 iwi in the CNI Forestry deal and now is the Chairman of the CNI Holdings responsible for the 176,000 hectares. Currently Matt is Chairman of the Tūhoe Fisheries Charitable Trust and mentor to the Executive 28 Maori Battalion Board.
Since 1991 Matt has worked with many large businesses including Fletcher Challenge, Carter Holt Harvey, Winstone, PPCS and APL Aluminum. Despite a commercial background, Matt’s focus remains on the development of people.
